Basic Spill Kit Training Course

The course will accommodate up to 12 people and is designed to provide first responders with a basic understanding of effective spill response. The session lasts for approx. 50 minutes.

1. To provide operatives with the knowledge of how to safely use spill products that you provide them
with on your site.

2. To highlight the importance of having a simple, effective, response action plan.

3. To stress the importance of preventing spillage escape and the impact from
environmental pollution.

• Golden Rules for the plan

• Typical spill products and their uses

• Your spill kits/products – safe use and deployment, A dry interactive demonstration using
your own products.

• Suitable venue

• Overhead or pc projection equipment, screen, flipchart & pens, dvd system

• Training area with space to effectively carry out dry demonstration for 12 attendees

• A range of site absorbents relevant to attendees
